Welcome to the page of the Parent Connection Committee, a team composed of faculty, parents, and alumni formed with the goal of cultivating a deeper involvement within the school family as well as increasing Mount Carmel's outreach in the communities it serves. The committee holds open meetings to discuss goals and concerns for the school that are brought up both by committee members and the school family at large.
A member of the Committee must be:
- A graduate of the school; or
- A parent or grandparent of a graduate; or
- A parent or grandparent of a student; or
- A current or past MCCS faculty or staff member
An abbreviated description of the purpose of the Committee is:
- To encourage communication between parents, teachers, and administration
- To bring parents together for the mutual strengthening of the school and parents
- To be available to parents to field new ideas about things that can be done at school
- To be available to parents to field questions about policies of the school
- To help disseminate information about the school
- To encourage each other to approach problems with ideas for solutions
- To encourage the Matthew 18 principle in situations where there may be complaints against teachers: To have the complainant approach the teacher with the problem first and if not resolved, approach the principal.
